"I was whisked off to the theatre for an emergency caesarean. No time for discussion. I was given a spinal block – but, in the urgent nature of the situation, the doctor refused to wait for it to fully absorb in my system so that I could stay awake for the birth. I could still feel my legs. I asked if we could try the epidural again, but I was told the baby needed to get out as fast as possible. The last thing I saw, as I argued with the doctor, was a face mask lowering over my nose. 'You’re going to sleep now'. I was out."

"After I had lived 13 years - rebelling against the reality that God wanted to be with me, I was drawn to His irresistible grace. Evangelist Billy Graham was speaking at mega-events all around Australia, so our church decided to take a bus into the city – the entire youth group went. I don’t remember much of the night except that the message of 'turn or burn' was loud and I was convicted that if I didn’t 'trust' I was destined to 'combust'. Hell didn’t sound fun at all. I was 'feared' into heaven."

As far as origins go, the most notable thing to say is that I grew up with faithful Christian parents, who trusted Jesus and evidently let Him be Lord of their lives. For this, I am eternally grateful."
